Collection Exhibitions

The purpose of the collection is not only to preserve original newspapers, but also to present them to the public.

Holding an original period newspaper in your hands offers a completely different experience than viewing a digital image or reading an online article.

During exhibitions, visitors can experience the atmosphere, news, and historical moments of different eras through original vintage newspapers.

Many exhibited copies are rarer editions, first-year issues, or original newspapers connected to significant historical events.

The goal of the exhibitions is to make the past not only readable, but truly tangible.

"Newspapers of Birthdays" — Lábatlan, 2024

In August 2024, I had the opportunity to present part of the collection publicly at the Gerenday Community House in Lábatlan.

The exhibition titled "Newspapers of Birthdays" focused on original vintage newspapers — issues that preserved the stories, atmosphere, and memories of specific days.

The exhibition was a particularly meaningful experience for me.

Not only because the collection could be presented publicly, but also because my family was part of the entire journey and preparation process.

I would also like to thank Ildikó Szabó, director of the Gerenday Community House, for providing space for this journey through time.

To me, newspapers are not simply sheets of paper. They are memories, stories, and connections between the past and the present.

The goal of the exhibition was for visitors not only to see, but also to truly feel the atmosphere of different eras through original newspaper issues.
